Before leaving Jordan in late 2006, he had served for several months on the Jordanian advisory board of Tejari.com, the premier online B2B marketplace in the region. In addition to his career in media and communications, Wajih is an in-demand MC and public speaker for various events and conferences, thanks to his perfectly fluent English, his congenial personality, and his positive attitude.
In 2003 and 2004, Wajih worked for Radio Jordan as an on-air presenter, news anchor, and producer. From 2004 to 2006, he was affiliated with PLAY 99.6 radio. Through radio, he became a popular voice actor, delivering advertisements and presentations in a variety of voices. He also worked as a publicity director for an independent music label while in the US.
Before moving to media, communications and events full-time in 2005, Wajih had accumulated eight years of experience in the IT industry, covering Customer Relationship Management, database programming, data warehousing, and data modeling.
Wajih received a B.Sc. cum laude in Business Administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a major in Information Systems including a track in Finance. Aside from his formal training, he has participated in significant academic research involving ancient Islamic block printing technology with Dr Karl R. Schaefer of Drake University. His other interests include film, radio, writing novels and screenplays, DJing, and reading on various non-fictional topics.
