Ajaya is an expert in Balanced Scorecard, EFQM, MBNQA, CII-EXIM, DQA Models, and OHSAS. Ajaya holds a B.E (Mining) degree from Osmania University, which was completed in 1981 with a first division and distinction. Additionally, Ajaya has an MBA (Technology Management) from Osmania University, completed between 2005-2007 in the first division, with electives in HR, BPR, IPR, and TQM.

Ajaya is currently pursuing a part-time PhD at Hyderabad Central University, focusing on the "Fit between Balanced Score Card – Business Excellence Models (BSC-BEM Fit) and Strategic PMS".

Ajaya worked in Tata Steel (Mines Division) for 19 years, with 16 years spent working in Limestone, Chromite, Manganese, Iron Ore Mines, Mine Planning, and 3 years as the Head of the TQM Department. In this role, Ajaya looked after the implementation and maintenance of the Tata Business Excellence Model/JRD QV Award, TQM, Quality Management Systems TS 13004 -1 (equivalent to ISO 9001) in different units and departments, and implemented the Balanced Score Card in the division. Ajaya was recognised by the MD as the Best Quality co-ordinator for the year 1999-2000 in Tata Steel.

Over the last 10 years, Ajaya has worked as a consultant in the areas of TQM, Implementing Business Excellence Models (Tata Business Excellence Model, CII EXIM Award Model), Balanced Score Card Concept, ISO9001, OHSAS18001, etc. Ajaya has extended Balanced Score Card consultancy to various companies, including:

• NTPC-Simhadri, Power Plant
• NTPC-Vindhyachal, Power Plant
• NTPC-Unchahar, Power Plant

Ajaya has prepared more than 350 Score Cards and trained over 700 executives on Balanced Score Card at various institutions, including Power Management Institute of Delhi, FORE School of Management Delhi, VST Hyderabad, NTPC Simhadri, Rihand, Talcher, Kahalgaon, Auraiya, Vindhyachal, Ispat Industries, and GULF Oil Corporation Hyderabad, Rourkela, etc.

Ajaya has also provided consultancy on the Tata Business Excellence Model (MBNQA Model) to Tata Projects Ltd, and CII-EXIM Award Model (EFQM Model) consultancy to various companies, including:

Ajaya has also worked for ½ year in the Abhijeet Group as VP(Q&BE), looking after Quality Systems, Business Excellence, and Balanced Scorecard Concept implementation in the group companies, which include Power, Ferro Alloys, etc.
